Buying Pokémon cards in Geneva no longer means being limited to specialist shops and their opening hours. Eight BoosterStop vending machines are installed across the canton, inside places people already visit. Here is where they are, what they stock and how to use them.

Where the machines are

Seven machines are inside La Poste branches, and the eighth is at King Jouet Carouge:

The machines follow the opening hours of the venue that hosts them, so they are closed on Sundays and Geneva public holidays. If there’s no machine in your neighbourhood yet, the box at the bottom of this article finds the nearest one.

What’s inside the machines

Every machine sells single boosters and, on a dedicated row, larger products such as displays and boxes. Pokémon takes up a lot of space, but the machines cover 24 licences, including One Piece, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana and Dragon Ball.

You’ll find French editions, and Japanese and Chinese ones depending on the set, which many collectors look for because of their artwork and rarities.

How to pay

The machines accept several payment methods:

  • cash, with change given in coins and notes
  • TWINT
  • contactless cards and mobile payment

The product drops as soon as you’ve paid, just like a drinks machine.

Check the stock before you go

For the machines at Rive, Les Charmilles and Petit-Lancy, the inventory is read directly from the machine and shown on the Live stock page, slot by slot, with prices and quantities left. The other machines will be connected over time.

Something sold out? A button on the same page lets you request a restock. The machines are restocked at least once a week, and new sets go into the machines on release day. Upcoming dates are in the TCG release calendar.

Authentic, factory-sealed products

It’s the first thing every collector asks. At BoosterStop, cards come exclusively from official distributors and arrive factory-sealed. Nothing is weighed, searched, opened, sorted or resealed: every booster contains exactly what the publisher put in it.
